Forus Interview on French Television

French ultrafast and technical skatepunk band Forus have uploaded a new video on their Youtube-Account.

Rémi - drummer (and second vocalist) of Forus - was interviewed about music and the band on a french television broadcaster. However my french is too bad to understand more, but i have already asked a guy for translation into english, which will be posted soon :-).

The only thing i can understand is, that the interviewer says the band's name in an incorrectly french pronunciation (forüs) instead of "for-us".

After more than 2 years of yearning for the announced Belvedere-Tribute, Michel (bandmember of Forus, vocals + guitar) has finally organised and completed the long awaited "A Tribute To Belvere" Comp!

There are some really awesome fast songs on it (personally, i enjoy the Forus, High Five Drive, Waterweed, Play Attenchon and Misled Balds demo versions a lot), and also an acoustic cover (All About Perspectives), which is played by french skatepunk-band StraightAway.

Setlist:
PMX - Slave To The Pavements

Mute - Fading Out + Tourupdate

Canadian skatepunkers Mute have finally published their flyer for the "Mutant Euro Tour 2010" in april and may 2010.
Click at the image on left to see all dates (but they are still searching shows, for example on the 18th of may in Germany or Austria).

AND! Mute is also playing at the Groezrock Festival on the 24th of April in Meerhout, Belgium!

As i mentioned last week, the band have uploaded their new amazing music-clip for the song "Fading Out" on vimeo!

Lyrics:
You've broken every bond but,
You still don't understand,
My trust is long gone,
There's nothing good to build,
On a foundation that weak,
A waste of words, of energy,
Now it's time to burn bridges.

You're fading out,
Slowly vanishing,
Fading out,
The echo disappears,
Fading out,
A little more each day,
But not fast enough for me.

Fading out,
Slowly vanishing,
Fading out,
The echo disappears,
Fading out,
A little more each day,
Erased, from the past,
I don't need a snake in the grass.

Free movement for all. Fuck the border.

Now, an amazing video of Proagandhi's song "Fuck The Border" from their show in Brisbane (Australia) on 13th of february 2009.

The band invited one guy from the crowd to sing their song, and that really went absolutely right!

Friday the 13th, on stage with Propagandhi; THIS must be one of the best moments in his life, and i think that the band loved his performance too.

Here you can find some pics of the show in Brisbane: http://www.fasterlouder.com.au/gallery/9672/Propagandhi.htm

Sun Eats Hours - Sucker

Watch this nice live video of italian band Sun Eats Sours.

The band is one of the most famous italian melodic-hardcore/punkrock/skate-punk bands (from venetian Vicenza) and have been playing together for more than 12 years. They released six full-lengths (including one split with japanese Nicotine covering old hardrock/heavy-metal songs) and in 2008(japan)/2009(europe) the latest album "Ten Years" had also a special bonus DVD included!

The Song is called "Sucker" (maybe you know this song also from the "The Last Ones Album" - released on Rude Records - or from the "Europunk Compilation")

Lyrics:
“Excuse me, did you call me a sucker?"

You moron! You're fat!
You're poor! A damn fool!

Don't you see how things go?
Your arms are youthful and strong

B.B.B. Boy look at the world
Don't you see the schemes?
You gotta change
Keep on acting like a machine!

It would be better
If you start playing your role again!

You moron! You're fat!
You're poor! A damn fool!

Don't you see how things go?
Your arms are youthful and strong”

The core of our culture is growing
By feeding itself the blood of all of those
Who are standing back from the evidence
Of shackles' values and fucking shameful schemes

"Do not feel? Do not be?
Do not choose? Do not think?

Hey man take back your fake
Old fucking damn words!

M. Motherfucker this time you’re gonna eat my shit
The real shame is this pain you keep on teaching

Don’t you see how things go?
Don’t you see how people feel?

Don't you see you’re in deep shit?
Don’t you see you’re in deep shit?

I think you have to run far (away)
With the old fucking culture!”

“Excuse me, did you call me a sucker?”

To Write A Riot wanna have Fun

Hmmmm, kids today like listening to lots of new powerpop, pop-punk - or sometimes even called popcore - bands. So, there is a new american band called "To Write A Riot" (sometimes also written "To Write A Riot!"), who plays perfect powerpop hehe.

I know, most of you don't like that kind of music, but yesterday they uploaded a bad funny cover of Cyndi Lauper's hymn "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" on their MySpace-Site.
Check them: http://www.myspace.com/towriteariot

Sportloto - We See, Most Don't

Some people say, that Sportloto sounds like a bad ukrainian version of the french band Forus. Although it is correct, that both bands play a similar fast and technical skatepunk-sound, there is one big difference: Sportloto also give live-concerts to their fans. :-P

Until now, they only have released the excellent "We See, Most Don't" EP (DIY - 2007), and the song "Open the Box", which you can find on the new FastCircle-Comp (Oct. 2009).

Here you can find one of my favourite Youtube-Videos:
